Paneer Butter Masala is a popular north indian curry.It mainly contains nice and soft paneer cubes cooked in a thick and creamy cashew and tomato gravy. This dish tastes best with naans and kulchas.

Paneer(Cottage cheese)- 200 gms- cut into small cubes
Onions- 2 large- finely slices
Kashmiri chilli powder- 1 tspn
Coriander powder- 1 tspn
Turmeric powder- a pinch
Garam masala powder- 1/2 tspn
Green chillies- 3 finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tspn
Cumin powder- 1/2 tspn
Cream- 1/2 cup
Coriander leaves- to garnish
Butter- 2 tblspn
Salt to taste
Method of Preparation:
Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onions to it.When they become golden brown in colour add green chillies, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt and saute for 5 minutes.
Let this mixture cool for sometime and then grind into a fine paste and pour it back to the pan.Puree the tomatoes and add into the onion mixture.Now cook this mixture till the oil separates for around 5-8 minutes in medium heat. Now add some water and cook for 5 minutes.
Grind the cashews into a smooth paste and add to the pan.Add the paneer cubes, garam masala, cream and coriander leaves and saute for 5 minutes.Add the butter and turn off the flame
Delicious paneer butter masala is ready to serve.
