Fruit Trifle

Hi Friends,

Trifle is a scrumptious and delicious dessert made from custard, fruits, cake and whipped cream. This is an absolute party delight and kids and adults equally love this dessert. Every time I make this trifle for parties at my place or carry it for potlucks, its a sure hit. And the best part about this recipe is you can alter it depending upon your family's food interest.Always feel free to add your favourite fruits and it goes well with any fruit though my favourites for trifle are pineapple and mixed berries. The addition of cool whip will make your kids love this dish.Trifle is definitely a dessert that can easily be made by even the most inexperienced cooks.
All the delicious ingredients layered in a trifle bowl makes a pretty and colorful presentation.
The saying ' You eat with your eyes first'  is completely true when it comes to this delicious trifle.

Prep time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:
Marble sponge cake- Cut into thin rectangular slices
English Devon style custard- 2 tins(You can always use freshly prepared custard of your choice)
Strawberry- 2 cups
Kiwi- 1- cut into thin slices
Blueberries- 1 cup
Raspberries -  1 cup
Pineapple tidbits- 2 tins
Cool Whip- 2 cups
Hersheys kisses Chipits - 1/2 cup
Jell-o - colour of your choice(i used one lemon flavored green and one berry flavored red colour)

Method of Preparation:
1.Layer the cake in the trifle bowl in a single layer.
2.Layer one tin of custard evenly on top of it.
3.Now layer it with fruits of your choice. In this recipe I evenly distributed strawberries, raspberries, pineapple and  blueberries. On top of this spread a thin layer of cool whip.Add a layer of chipits on it.
4.Repeat steps 1-3 again in the same pattern except the addition of pineapple juice.Depending on the size of your trifle dish you can repeat it one more time. I usually do it two times and my trifle dish will be full by that time.
5.Finally add the cool whip as a thick layer and make it even.On top of this add the remaining berries and kiwi in a style of your choice.Add the jelly in a style of your choice on the sides or in the centre.
6.Refrigerate for atleast 6 hours before serving.

Hope you enjoy this creamy and yummy dessert.

Thanks,
Aysha
