Gajar Ka Halwa(Carrot Halwa)

Gajjar Ka Halwa is a popular indian dessert and is an all time favourite of adults as well as children .The following is a simple and easy to make recipe and also tastes the best.

Cooking time: 25 minutes
Serves- 4

Carrot- Grated carrots-  4 cups
Milk- 2 cups
Sugar- 1/4 cups or according to your taste
Cardamom powder- a pinch
Raisins- 2 tspn
Cashews- 2 tspn
Ghee- 2-3 tblspn

Method of preparation

Heat ghee in a pan and add the cashew and raisins to it.Fry till they become golden brown in colour.Keep aside.
In the same pan add the grated carrot and cook for 10 minutes in medium heat.
Add the milk to the carrots and cook for 10-15 minutes in medium heat till the milk starts to boil.Add sugar and cardamom powder and cook till the milk completely evaporates.
Turn off the heat , add the fried cashew and raisins and mix well.
Serve hot or refrigerate after cooling and serve cold.
