Cooking time: 30 minutes
Beef- 1lb or 500gm
Onion- 3 finely chopped
Green chillies- 5 finely sliced
Curry leaves- 1 stem
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tspn
Chilli powder- 1 tspn
Pepper powder-1/2 tspn
Coriander powder- 3 tspn
Garam Masala- 1/2 tspn
Coconut oil or Extra Virgin Olive Oil- 2 tblspn
Coriander powder- To garnish
Salt to taste
Method of Preparation:
Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add onions, green chillies and ginger garlic paste and saute till onion turns light brown.
Add chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, garam masala powder and salt and saute 10 minutes in medium flame.
Add the beef pieces, mix well and saute for 10 minutes till beef mixes well with the masala.
Add 1/2 cup water(if needed, usually water comes from the beef. But I usually add a little water always when pressure cooking).Pressure cook till the beef gets done. I usually pressure cook for 3 whistles.But it can vary depending on the meat and your cooker.
After the beef is cooked, remove the lid once the steam is completely gone.Open the lid and cook till the gravy thickens.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or chapatis
