Cooking time : 1 hour
Serves : 10

Plantain -3
Eggs - 4
Raisins - 2 tblspn
Cashew Nuts - 2 tblspn chopped
Ghee- 2 tblspn
Cardamon - 4 chopped
Coconut - 1 cup(grated)
Sugar - 10 tblspn
Vegetable oil for frying

Method of Preparation:
Cut one plantain into 3 pieces and cook all the three plaintains with the skin on.
Mash the cooked plaintains with a potato masher and keep aside.

Preparing the filling:
Take a bowl and add the eggs into it. Add sugar to the eggs and mix well
Take a frying pan and add the ghee to it.Add the freshly grated coconut and cashews and egg mix and saute for 5 minutes.Turn off the flame and add the raisins and cardamon to it.Mix well and keep aside.
Final step:
Grease both hands with oil and make mini balls out of the mashed plaintains.
Flatten the balls into small disc shapes.
Add small quantities of filling inside the dis shapes plaintains and seal the edges. Shape the filled plaintains into shapes similar to rugby balls with your hand.Repeat this step with the entire filling and plaintains.
Heat oil in a medium sized kadai and add 3-4 unnakaayis into it.Fry till they turn golden brown on all sides.Yummy yummy unnakaayis are ready to serve.
