Gobi Manchurian

Gobi Manchurian is a very popular vegetarian dish.It's unique in its flavors and is a very colorful dish.I like it best with Fried Rice.

Cooking Time : 20 minutes
Serves : 4


Gobi(Cauliflower) - 1
Onions -2(Medium sized)
Corn Flour - 2 tblspn
Garlic paste - 2 tspn
Chilli powder - 1 tspn
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tspn
Green Chillies - 4(finely chopped)
Tomato Ketchup - 3 tblspn
Scallions - 1 bunch(finely chopped)
Refined oil - 4 tblspn(3 tblspn for frying the cauliflower florets and 1 tblspn in frying of onions)Salt to taste

Method of preparation

1.Marinate the cauliflower florets with corn flour,chilli powder,turmeric powder, garlic paste(1 tspn) and salt and set aside for 1 hour.ide for 1 hour.
2.Heat oil in a pan and fry the cauliflower florets till golden yellow.Keep aside.
3.Heat oil in another pan and add the finely chopped onions,garlic paste(remaining 1 tspn garlic paste), green chillies and salt and saute for 10 minutes.
4.Add the fried cauliflower florets and saute for 5 minutes.Add little water if needed.Add tomato ketchup and mix well.
5.Garnish with scallions and serve hot.
