Naadan Chicken Curry


Naadan Curry is a traditional chicken dish filled with spice and flavor.It is a part of everyday Malabar cuisine and tastes best with
pathiri, chappati or steam cake.
Cooking Time : 20 minutes
Serves : 4

Ingredients :

Chicken - 500 gm
Onions - 2 (Medium Size)
Tomato - 1
Ginger paste - 1 tspn
Garlic paste - 2 tspn
Pepper - 1 tspn
Garam Masala - 1 tblsp
Chilli powder - 1 tspn
Turmeric powder -1/2 tspn
Bay leaf - 1
Red Chillies - 5
Cumin seeds - 1 tspn
Lime juice - 1 tblspn
Olive oil - 2 tblspn
Scallions or Cilantro - 3 stem(chopped)
Salt to taste

Method of Preparation :

1.Heat oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds and red chillies to it.When they splutter add the chopped onions.

2.Add garlic paste,ginger paste, salt, pepper, garam masala, turmeric powder and chilli powder and saute for 10 minutes.

3. Add the chicken pieces and tomatoes and stir.

4.Add 1/2 cup of water and cook for 10 minutes.

5.Turn off the flame and add lime juice and mix well.Garnish with scallions and serve hot.
