Kerala Moru Curry

Moru curry(Yoghurt curry) is an easy to make keralite dish that's part of everyday kerala cuisine. Its main ingredient is curd and the best part is its so simple. It tastes best with rice and fish curry.

Cooking time : 10 minutes
Serves : 4


Yoghurt-2 cup
Onion- 1 medium sized
Red chillies-4-5
Mustard Seeds- 1/2 tspn
Curry leaves- 1 stem
Turmeric Powder - 3/4 tspn
Garlic paste- 1 tspn
Ginger paste - 1 tspn
Refined oil- 1 tblspn

Method of Preparation

1.Heat oil in a pan and add the finely chopped onion. Add ginger and garlic paste.Add salt as required. Fry till the onions in medium flame till it becomes light golden in colour. Pour 1/4 cup water and simmer.
2.Turn off the flame and add blended curd(without water).
3.Heat oil in another pan and add mustard seeds.When mustard seeds splutter add red chillies and curry leaves.Add this seasoning to the curd mixture and mix well.
