Fish Fry Masala


Fish Fry Masala is simple and easy to make dish.Its a dish with simple ingredients but packed with flavor.Its my personal favourite.It tastes best with chapatti or rice.

Cooking time : 30 min
Serves - 4

Ingredients :

Fish - 500gm (cut into medium pieces)
Onions- 3 (Medium size)
Tomato -2
Garlic paste - 2 tspn
Ginger paste 1 tspn
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tspn
Curry leaves - 1 stem
Mustard seeds -1 tspn
Garam Masala - 1 tspn
Pepper powder - 1 tspn
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tspn
Chilli powder - 2tspn
Coriander powder - 2 tspn
Red chillies -4
Olive oil or Refined oil - 2 tblspn
Coriander leaves or Scallions- 1 cup(Chopped)
Salt to taste

Method of Preparation :

1.Marinate the fish pieces with olive oil,turmeric powder , chilli powder and salt and set aside for 1-2 hours.

2. Fry the marinated fish pieces and keep aside.

3.Heat oil in a skillet and add mustard seeds, red chillies, cumin seeds and curry leaves.When they splutter add the chopped onions and fry till golden brown.

4.Add ginger and garlic paste.Add garam masala, pepper powder and coriander powder.Saute for 5 minutes.

5.Add tomatoes and saute for 5 minutes.

6.Add the fried fish pieces and cook for 10 minutes in medium flame.

7.Add lime juice and garnish with coriander leaves or scallions and serve hot.
