Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani)

Hey All....
Its been a long time since I have wrote something on my blog..Well today i don't feel like writing about any particular topic...But yeah...theres good news..I am giving you all a recipe today..Yummy...Butter Chicken..Its my favourite...And I am sure its comes on top of the list in your favourites too..This is my mom's recipe..Please let me know how it was...

Butter Chicken
Butter chicken or Murgh Makhani is an authentic and delicious chicken recipe. The tender chiecken pieces melts in your mouth.It tastes best with Naan or Parathas.

Preparation time- 25-30 minutes.
Serves- 4-6

1. Chicken-1Kg(small boneless pieces)
2. Onion- 2
3. Tomatoe Paste- 1 tin
4. Soya Sauce- 2 teaspoon
5. Tomatoe Ketchup-1 Tablespoon(Optional)
6. Chilli Sauce- 2 Tablespoon
7. Chilli powder- 2 tablespoon
8. Coriander Powder-1 teaspoon
9. Curd- 1/2 cup
10. Sugar-1 teaspoon(Optional)
11. Garlic Paste-1 teaspoon
12. Ginger Paste- 1 1/2 teaspoon
13.Lime- 1 tablespoon
14. Butter- 50gm
15.Salt to taste
16. Oil-2 tablespoon
17. Bay Leaves- 2
18. Sour Cream- 1 tin
19. Coriander Leaves

Method of preparation

Marinate the chicken with the curd, coriander powder, lime and 1 tablespoon chilli powder and keep in the refrigerator for 1 hour. After that take a kadai and fry the chicken pieces in medium flame and keep aside. Grind the onion, garlic and ginger paste. Heat butter in a pan(or cooking vessel) and put the onion mixture into it and fry for 10 minutes. Put the tomatoe paste, soya sauce and chicken pieces and bay leaves and fry for around 10 minutes(low flame).Add very little water if needed. After that put the chilli sauce and tomatoe ketchup.Heat for around 2 minutes in low flame. Finally put the sour cream and mix the entire contents and heat for around 2- 5 minutes in low flame. Garnish it with coriander leaves.Your butter chicken is ready!!

Insert 1 teaspoon of butter just before serving.
