A simple and tasty dish that is made with beef and potatoes that are given a spicy indian flavor.
Cooking time: 25 minutes
Serves : 4
Beef- 500 gm
Potato - 1 big(Peeled and cut into cubes)
Onion - 2 medium sized
Tomato - 1
Chilli powder- 3 tspn (Reduce it to 2 tspn if you prefer less spicy)
Coriander powder - 3 tblspn
Turmeric powder - 1 tspn
Ginger paste - 1 tspn
Garlic paste - 2tspn
Refined oil - 2 tblspn
Salt to taste
Method of preparation :
1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add the finely chopped onions. Fry till the onion becomes golden yellow in colour(around 6 minutes in medium flame).
2.Add the ginger and garlic paste.Add chilli, turmeric and coriander powder and salt.Saute for around 5 minutes.
3.Add the beef and cook for around 5 minutes.
4.Add the tomatoes and potatoes.
5.Pour one cup water and pressure cook the entire contents for around 10 minutes in medium flame.
6.Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with chapattis or rice.
